Wayne M. Zettler is an Information Systems engineer with 15+ years of experience in both the public and private sectors. After a brief 4 year stint in the US Navy as an Information Systems technician, he went on to spend many years as a defense contractor, assisting in the deployment of the shipboard fleet networks, such as GotsDelta and Navy Cash. Upon leaving the defense contracting community, Wayne spent 5 years working in the AT&T research and development campus in support of large Voice-Over IP deployment at the AT&T core. Wayne blends his technical knowledge and his sales ability, to assist his partners in planning their IT road maps, and ultimately, delivering solutions in a timely and cost effective manner. His experience, both as an engineer, and a salesman gives him a unique perspective into the day to day issues, many of our members face.
Wayne become an active member of THR in the fall of 2011, and immediately became an advocate and strong resource for the executive members of the council. Due to his relentless recruitment efforts, for THR, he was awarded the “Volunteer of the Year” award in 2012, and given a seat on the Innovate for Profit Board in 2012. His continued support and escalated involvement in day to day operations, along with his deep understanding and experience of the Information Systems environment, made him an ideal choice for the Chairman position. Wayne’s charge is to return the council to a more information systems focused organization, to attract talented engineers to bolster our ranks.
